This group is for those who love Visual Kei. It's as simple as that.
What exactley is "visual kei"?
In short, visual kei is an underground (for the most part) music movement in japan. Signed to mostly independant labels, visual kei bands produce unique and mostly very different kinds of music. The most notable feature of visual kei bands is the focus on their outward appearance, they all usually wear loads of makeup and dress uniquely (to say the very least).

What good bands are in this genre?
Well, as of current, there are too many to list, but the big-time visual kei bands would include bands such as:
X-Japan
Dir en grey
Malice Mizer
Luna Sea
Pierrot
Glay
hide
Keep in mind there are many more, I just threw a few out there.

Want to join?
It's simple! Just write a note telling us about yourself, and how you got into visual kei. It doesn't hurt to tell your favorite visual kei band, either.
But when you join, mention in your journal/user page is much appreciated.

Slow still, have to get to noting others for the invite to join...
But we have a co-founder! Everyone meet ! Us at Kei-fans appreciate the new addition to an outstand crew of two! Woo hoo!
Anyway.
Back to those notes, if there's anything anyone can do to influence the group, it would be greatly appreciated. I suppose we're in a sort of EXPANDING mode, getting more influence and throwing our name out there.
Which I swear I'll get to. Hopefully.
But you can too! Anyone can! So don't be afraid to step out for everyone at Kei-fans!

Things have been slow lately, but this group was created only about a week ago.
There have been plans on increasing the members of this group, but to no avail.
But that's okay! I've thought more about what the purpose of this group is, and I've come up with these things that this group can provide:
~MEET other visual kei fans, and be a part of a community that appreciates a underdog genre of music.
~SUBMIT works of any sort that pretain to the genre of music called visual kei. This can be graphic art, photography(cosplay), writings, drawings.
~CONTESTS. In time, if enough people join, I have no trouble holding contests with decent prizes- anything from prints to CDs. I've got cash.
~DISCUSS the greatness of visual kei with others! Spread the love!

This group is NEW still, and I'm still working on getting things to work out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
